How to Transfer Data from old iPhone iPad iPod to iPhone 5s or iPhone 5c

Mode 1: How to transfer data to iPhone 5s or iPhone 5c with iCloud


If you have been backing up to iCloud on your old iPhone, iPad, iPod, please follow the steps below.

Step 1: You'll see a welcome screen after launch your new iPhone 5s or iPhone 5c, then slide your finger across the bottom where it says “slide to set up”. Now you can choose the language according to your needs and select the region and country where you are in, such as United States.

Step 2: After finish the step 1, now you need to search and select a WiFi network near you, then enter the password to connect with it. You can choose Use Cellular if you don’t have access to WiFi.



Step 3: Jump to the Location Services screen, choose enable or disable the location services in default situation as you want. Pay attention to that certain apps like Maps need location services to operate properly.

Step 4: Now, choose “Restore from iCloud backup” and enter your Apple ID and Password to sign in your personal account. On the next screen, you need to click “Agree” to agree these conditions and terms, and agree again when the dialog pop up.



Step 5: On the last step, you can see some iCloud backups on your iPhone 5s or iPhone 5c if you have created before. Choose the backup you want according to time of backup’s name and begin to transfer it to you iPhone 5s or iPhone 5.



Tips: Restore from iCloud backup need the wifi network environment, only some things in your iCloud backup will be restored without WiFi. Others won't be triggered until you're on WiFi. Or you can choose to restore from an iTunes backup if you have access to one.


Mode 2: How to transfer data to iPhone 5s or iPhone 5c with iTunes


If you have ever do some backups to iTunes from your old iPhone, iPad, iPod, please follow the steps below. Keep in mind, make sure you're on the lastest version of iTunes 11 before recovery.

Step 1: After your iPhone 5s or iPhone 5c powers on, slide your finger across the “slide to set up” button, then choose the language, country/region, WiFi network and wheather enable the  location services on by default as Mode 1.


Step 2: Now you can click “Restore from iTunes backup” and choose the backup you need to begin to transfer the data to your iPhone 5s or iPhone 5c. Your iPhone will prompt you to do so if you have not connected to your computer containing your iTunes backups.
Tips: iTunes is the default media manager applications which specially designed for iPhone, iPad, iPod or other iOS devices to manages all your data files. In addition, you can retrieve your data from iTunes backups when deleted or lost your iOS devices data. However, iTunes backups recovery just provides the entire backup recovery rather than the specific files. If you want to manage/edit your data on PC or recover them selectively, please follow Mode 3.


Mode 3: How to transfer data to iPhone 5s or iPhone 5c with iOS Data Manager
